No Weigh

I stopped weighing myself about 2 years ago. So, for two years, I’ve had no idea what I weigh. And it’s freakin’ glorious. Maybe the scale is an addiction, Maybe the number is a safety net, but no matter what you think it is, it is not a determination of your worth. Letting go of what I thought the scale “told me” was the biggest, boldest step I’ve made in healing my relationship with my body. What seemed like such a simple act of tossing out my scale, turned out to be the healthiest decision I’ve ever made. Don’t waste another moment buying into the lie that having a smaller body would give you a better life. You HAVE a life. And you’ll waste it spending its entirety trying to shrink. Your life does not start 5, 10, 50 lbs from now - it starts today. You don’t have to love your body. You don’t even have to like it. But hating your body doesn’t change it. Respecting your body changes —> everything. 💗
