Sometimes it’s really easy for me to sit and worry about everything I’ve eaten after a big meal or in this case, a long vacation. The past few weeks have been filled with the endless pasta, one two many Bahama Mamas, Italian pizza, hometown Chinese, Andy’s frozen custard...

the list goes on. ⁣

Basically: Countless delicious “guilty” pleasures & more calories than I’d care to count. ⁣ But in my moments of insecurity or worry I am often reminded how blessed I am to make choices about my food - to indulge when I want to & eat in excess when my plate is filled with foods that are just too yummy... how thankful am I to have fresh fruits & veggies at my command & nutrition that comes daily any way I choose. ⁣ Choosing your food is a blessing we far too often take for granted - in both times of excess & times of moderation. ⁣ I’m excited to get back to my routine of moving daily & eating things that make me feel the best, but I am so grateful to be able to appreciate the ways food is made up of far more than carbs or calories. ⁣ The last couple weeks have been filled with laughs at the dinner table surrounded by those I love most, a glass (or two) of wine with LK cheering to a perfect evening spent together or mid-day gelato breaks with my sisters as we detail the ins and outs of our dreams.⁣ Food is a gift & so too are the memories that come with it. Today I’m choosing to be thankful for the tasty indulgences this life has to offer — those a nutrition label can’t categorise or define. ⁣
