Y’all “fitting room talk” is still alive & well. I’ve been back in the retail setting for only a few days now & I’ve already heard some variation of all of the below: “I could never show my legs right now” “My waist looks HUGE in these stripes” “Yeah nope - not with these hips” While this is beyond normal for women this time of year, it’s important to know a few things as the holidays approach & the impending holiday parties fill your schedule —
At Christmastime: - Your arms are made for wrapping up your loved ones as they *finally* come home for Christmas — not for shrinking. 🎁 - Your legs are made for jumping up & down at what you find under the tree OR chasing your nephews/nieces into a pile on the couch — not for critiquing. 🎄 - Your tummy is made for gobbling up all of the delicious holiday foods you’ve waited all year for — not for hating. 🍛 - Your booty is made for sitting by the fire, telling stories & sipping hot cocoa — not for weighing. 🔥 - YOU are made for showing up & being present this holiday season - not for insecurity. 🙋🏼♀️ And the best part — if you allow it — your dress size or weight do not have to be a factor in ANY of the hustle & bustle of the holiday season. Here’s to Christmas parties that celebrate the person beyond the weight, the outfit or the toned arms.
Let’s encourage one another to be better this holiday season.
❤️🎅🏻 Besides - Santa is always watching 😘
