1. Give Anytime You're Prompted: In the McDonald's drive thru line, give $1 to St. Jude. At the airport, give a candy bar to the troops. At the T.J. Maxx counter, add $2 to your total. It's a simple, small gesture (typically no more than $5) but one that adds joy and charitable purpose to your year.

2. Voice Every Compliment: Think about how often you think kind things about another person (like the girl at the cash register who had really beautiful eyes), but you never told them. 2019 is the year we tell them!

3. Read at Least ___ Book(s) Every ____: Pick your number, a number slightly out of your comfort zone and a time goal, (i.e. every month/quarter etc), and read your heart out.

4. Reduce the Use of Single-Use Plastics: Straws, red solo cups, plastic silverware... a little reduce, recycle and reuse never hurt nobody.

5. Become a Morning Person: Retire the snooze button and commit to being that person you've always wanted to be. The potential!

6. No Scale 2019: It's just as simple as that. Throw it out or put it in a box in the garage - it's 2019 and you don't need any piece of dated technology telling you your worth.

7. Commit to a New Self Care Routine: Want to mediate every day? Take a bubble bath once a week? Wash your face? Hot Yoga? Get a facial? Massage? A babysitter? You get the point. Invest in Yourself 2019.

8. Set a Screen Time Limit: With the new iPhone update, setting a screen time limit is as easy as a few settings. Or maybe you commit to no Screen Time in the bedroom or no social media before breakfast. Disconnecting is a major theme in 2019 Resolutions - and rightfully so.

9. Become More Educated on Your Convictions/Beliefs: Spend time reading articles, books or blogs, watching videos or documentaries, listen to podcasts -- whatever you can do to educate yourself on the ins and outs of your deepest convictions or beliefs. Feeling extra bold? Research every argument against it.

10. For Every Clothing Item you Purchase, Give One Away: Or sell it! Whatever you do, just get rid of it. 1 in and 1 out.

Whatever you decide to do in 2019, I hope you commit to goals and routines that serve you in the best, healthiest way possible.

Punishing diets, restrictions or impractical resolutions only lead to failure. Only the fools continue to do the same thing over and over and expect different results.

Let's try something new in 2019.

xx
